Today, I’m talking about a solution for the funk factor of Food Emotion Commotion, which is eating, or not eating due to uncomfortable, yucky emotions!

Let’s start with the question: How do you know when to stop eating? I was just teaching a class on this very topic, and here are some answers I got:
-“I stop eating when it hurts!”
-“I stop eating because it’s all gone!”
-“But if it tastes really good, I can’t stop!”
And here is a good one-
“If I get too full, that is when I decide to keep on eating!”

This is obviously a topic that needs a solution, and fast! How do you decide to stop eating?

Here is the dealio: Deciding when to stop eating is a very personal decision, so begin to ask yourself, how do I want to feel after this meal?

Download the free hunger/fullness scale, to get an idea of how you want to feel after a meal. You will gradually learn how to respond (key word is responding) to fullness levels.

By doing this…
-your natural weight may emerge
-relying on your fullness cues, while you are eating, will help you determine when to stop eating so you no longer have to feel uncomfortably full after eating.
